Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has launched 2020 Honda City in India on Wednesday. The new honda civic has priced at Rs 10.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.64 lakh. It is a car ex-showroom price in Delhi. The fifth-generation 2020 city sedan V, VX and ZX have come in these three variants. The new Honda City 2020 will be available in both petrol and diesel engines options. The company would currently sell both the fifth-generation Honda City and the previous model.

The petrol variant of the Honda City 1.5L i-VTEC engine and will be available in both the 6-speed manual gearbox and CVT options. The engine generates a power of 121PS at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 145Nm at 4,300 rpm. The new Honda City with a petrol engine will have a manual variant of 17.8 kilometres per litre. The company claims that the CVT variant will provide a mileage of 18.4 kilometres per litre.

The diesel variant will be powered by a 1.5L i-DTEC engine and will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine generates 100 PS power at 3,600 rpm and peak torque of 200 Nm at 1,750 Rpm. The diesel variant pays a mileage of 24.1 kilometres per litre, the company claims. Honda says this sedan is India’s first connected car with Alexa remote connectivity feature. The next-generation Honda connect with the telematics control unit (TCU) has been given in the car.

As compared to the previous model, a number of changes have been made in terms of design in 2020 Honda City. It is the longest (4,549mm) and wide (1,748mm) in its segment. It has got ASEAN NCAP 5 star rating. If other features are available, the new Honda City sedan features electric sunroof, full LED headlamps, LED tail lights, 17.7cm HD full-colour TFT meters, lane watch cameras and vehicle stability assist. The company started its pre-booking in the last week of June. In addition to dealerships, online bookings can be made using the company’s Honda From Home platform. In the Indian market, the midsize sedan will be fought by Maruti Suzuki Siaz, Hadiay or otherwise, Phashakadhainakana Vento, Skoda Rapid and Toyota Hills. Reaveled
